TestimonialsDear Sally,

Thank you for contributing so much to our panel of executive coaches in the last 3 years.  And thank you for your generosity to our clients and projects.

We are very sad to lose you and wish you every success in the future.  If you ever return to Australia, please know you are very welcome to rejoin our team.

Sally, I took the liberty of asking some of your clients for feedback.  They have replied:

Dear Sally, Thank-you for the time & effort you put in as my executive coach.  You are a great active listener and really helped me recognise my drivers, my strengths, and my talents.  In the end I think our coaching sessions and the reflection time I took in writing the reports were the most valuable single part of the leadership development programme.

My confidence levels & energy remain high and I greatly value the skills of self-assessment that you have helped me build.

I wish you all the best for your future in the United States.

Rehabilitation Engineer, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Queensland Health

Sally, thank you for being such an effective coach. In all our sessions I would find myself talking of problems at the start yet emerge from my time with you evaluating solutions and options for the future. You assisted in bringing thoughts and solutions from within and structuring them into directions for future action. Your assistance in gaining insight into the need for self care has been invaluable. I wish you well.Senior Staff Specialist Department of Emergency Medicine, Nambo?ur Hospital, Queensland Health

Dear Sally, Thank you very much for all your help and support with Executive Coaching. I found the whole experience very beneficial, rewarding and of tremendous use in my day to day work.Best wishes and warmest regards, Director Nephrology & Transplant Services (MINTS) – Chair, Qld Statewide Renal Clinical Network, Professor of Medicine (University of Queensland), Professor of Population Health (University of Queensland)

Sally, thank you for your incredible skills and insight into executive leadership – your patience and reflectiveness really helped me to work through the daily challenges of leadership. Your messages about leadership resonate with me, in decisions that come up every day. All the best for your move to the US.Consultant Thoracic Physician, Department of Thoracic Medicine, Associate Professor, Head of the Northside Clinical School, School of Medicine, The University of Queensland

The greatest benefit I gained from working Sally as an executive coach was her ability to listen empathically but to then summarise succinctly the key points I needed to address.  Best of luck. Medical Director, Genetic Health, Queensland Health

Please pass on my best wishes for Sally’s future.  How do you coach a cat – not to dissimilar to interacting with a senior doctor – impacts are difficult to quantify, benefits are often unexpected and out of the blue and what ever happens it always appears that they continue to do exactly what they want regardless of any sense of reason!  But the golden opportunity of a genuine listener who supported this opportunity for exploring ignored or quiet areas of self, the encouragement and quiet support to open up and self reflect has I think resulted in so much more reward in terms of stronger foundations, more secure and steadfast building and approach rather than set individual tasks achieved.  So in short I think that “Coaching” is difficult to quantify in set outcomes but for me and thanks to Sally it gives me a stronger, more lasting and robust appreciation of living the dream! Clinical Network Chair Anesthesia, Queensland Health

The above feedback is a fitting tribute to your work, Sally.  It is also just the tip of the iceberg  –  I only invited a handful of clients.

I will be pleased to recommend your executive coaching services to future clients.  And even happier to work with you again if we get the chance.

Gratefully yours,

Sally was my mentor in assisting with my role as chair of the Statewide Emergency Department Network. This was facilitated by Queensland Health as part of a program to assist new Clinical Network Chairs. Sally was an immense help to me with prioritising workload and responsibilities, dealing with conflict and understanding about setting limits and controlling the balance of lifestyle and work. The best aspect was her ability to listen and guide without formal structures or plans. She gave me self-motivation and direction as well as the ability to accept successes at a personal level. I found her to be a great mentor.

The value of one-on-one executive coaching from Sally was tremendous. Using an active and purposeful listening and advisory style, she was able to convert what I thought of as issues and problems, to challenges and opportunities to constructively help the organisation. Her coaching was superbly insightful, and helped me to develop new skills as a leader, which I use in all facets of my various leadership roles in a number of spheres.

I really appreciated being able to obtain an expert and impartial opinion of issues that I faced as a Manager. I was able to discuss issues freely and openly in a way that I would not have been able to in the workplace. Coaching gave me the skills and confidence to apply more enhanced management techniques in my day-to-day work relations.

The coaching and development program involved an in-depth analysis of oneself, through a series of questionnaires as well as a 360-degree evaluation from subordinates, peers and bosses.

The results identified my strengths, weaknesses as well as my behaviours. The key benefit to me was that I could use this to leverage my strengths and work on my weaknesses through discussions with my coach, bosses and through my follow-up actions. It also helped me understand my colleagues and the reasons for their actions and behaviour. The 360-degree assessment identified gaps between my perception of myself and my colleagues . The program is strongly recommended. I am a better manager for having completed the coaching program. I should have done it ten years earlier in my career but better late then never.
